(Almaty-Kazakhstan) – A domestic plane reportedly carrying about 100 passengers was taking off when all of a sudden , it crashed , and smashed concrete walls of airport building, leaving 9 people died and several others injured in Almaty airport , the biggest city in Kazakhstan.
The airline operated by Kazakhstan-based Bek Air. It was scheduled to leave Almaty airport to another city Nur-Sultan.
Around 7:00 AM this morning, the plane “lost altitude after takeoff and broke through a concrete fence,” before colliding with a two-story building at approximately 7:22 a.m., local time, according to Almaty aviation authorities.
The authority said the cause to the crash is being investigated and more information will be provided later .
